Description
Kashmiri apricots have a flavour identity that is distinct from every other dried apricot variety. The altitude, mineral-rich soil, and traditional cultivation methods of Kashmir produce apricots with a characteristic balance of sweetness and tartness — a complexity that commercially grown, treated varieties in supermarkets have largely lost in pursuit of uniformity and extended shelf life.
Our Premium Dried Kashmiri Apricots are naturally sun-dried without sulphur dioxide treatment. The bright orange colour that many people associate with quality dried apricots is actually the result of sulphite treatment, not genuine fruit quality. Untreated apricots develop a slightly deeper, more amber colour during natural drying — and this is what you see in ours. The colour change is honest and meaningful.
Beta-carotene — converted by the body to vitamin A — is the nutritional headline. It supports healthy vision, immune function, skin cell renewal, and the integrity of the mucous membranes that form the first line of defence against environmental pathogens. Iron supports healthy haemoglobin production and combats fatigue. Dietary fibre promotes digestive regularity and feeds the gut microbiome.
Potassium supports cardiovascular function and healthy blood pressure regulation. The natural sugars provide clean, satisfying energy that does not produce the spike-and-crash of refined sugar snacks. These are the kind of dry fruit that once they become part of a daily routine, feel noticeably missed when they run out.
